Why I Developed the Colostrum Hydrofluid

The truth? I first created Colostrum Hydrofluid for myself.

My skin has always been sensitive—it reacts easily to heat, stress, cold, friction, and even joy. If I listened to my skin, I’d have to avoid sailing, saunas, skiing, sweaty sports, and the occasional glass of red wine. And honestly... where’s the fun in that?

I didn’t want to live in fear of flare-ups. I wanted skincare that supported me—that helped my skin bounce back and stay balanced, no matter the season or situation.

From Personal Need to a Purposeful Formula

Over the years, I set myself one goal: to develop a skincare product that would make my skin more resilient. Something that was microbiome-friendly, supported the skin barrier, and was so gentle it could be used even on stressed or inflamed skin—yet effective enough to keep it calm throughout the day.

As a scientist, I was determined to base the formula on research—not trends. I am especially grateful for the early guidance of Heike Käser, whose deep knowledge of formulation helped shape the concept. For the final version, I worked with a formulation team in Hamburg to bring everything together with precision and care.

A Formula That Became Family

What started as a personal solution quickly caught on. First with my family. Then with friends. And before I knew it, Colostrum Hydrofluid had become their go-to product as well. Their feedback—and the visible relief they felt—gave me the courage to share it with the world.

Helping Skin in All Kinds of Situations

Although Hydrofluid was originally designed for skin prone to eczema, it quickly became a staple in many other skincare routines:

• For inflamed or sensitive skin following chemotherapy

• On slow-healing or post-procedural skin

• To soothe areas prone to rosacea

• Even when worn under protective face masks to reduce irritation

The most meaningful part? Hearing from people who say it helped them feel like themselves again—skin and all.

What's Next?

Based on this feedback, I’ve also developed a richer, more intensive skincare product—a Repair Cream designed to provide deeper nourishment. It’s already generating a lot of excitement among our testers, and we can’t wait to launch it in the store soon.

I created Colostrum Hydrofluid because I didn’t want to shy away from life—and now, it’s helping others face life with confidence, too.
